Tobacco and E-Cigarettes Smoking: Negative Effects

Nov 23, 2022

This research paper discusses the various effects that tobacco and electronic cigarette smoking can have on the human body. Tobacco is an addictive substance, containing nicotine and other dangerous chemicals, many of which are carcinogens. Smoking tobacco products has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disease, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, low birth weight in babies born to mothers who smoke during pregnancy, and premature death.

E-cigarettes are a relatively new product on the market with unknown long-term health risks. There is evidence that suggests e-cigarette vapor contains contaminants such as metals and other toxins which could lead to lung irritation or damage over time. Thus far, there is no reliable evidence that suggests e-cigarettes help people quit smoking; some studies have even found that using e-cigarettes may increase the likelihood of people continuing to smoke cigarettes as well.

In conclusion, both tobacco and e-cigarette smoking can have damaging effects on the body; research shows that there is no safe level of exposure to either product. For this reason, it is important for individuals who are considering trying either form of smoking to be aware of the potential risks they face in order to make an informed decision before taking part in any kind of smoking activity. By understanding the dangers associated with these products, individuals can make informed decisions about their health and wellness.
