The role of media in criminology

This research paper explores the role of media in criminology. In particular, it focuses on how media coverage can shape public opinion and public policy concerning crime and criminal justice issues. It suggests that by creating an informed dialogue on criminal justice topics, the media can play a powerful role in influencing public policy while also providing citizens with an avenue to engage with authorities over matters of criminal justice.
