This research paper explores and explains the relationship between social media addiction and depression.

While a cause-and-effect relationship has not been proven, there is a very strong correlation between the two. Social media addiction can lead to feelings of isolation, anxiety, and loneliness. These feelings can then lead to depression.

There are many reasons why someone might become addicted to social media. For some, it is a way to cope with negative emotions or events in their life. Others may use it as a way to feel connected to others or to escape from their everyday life. Whatever the reason, addiction to social media can have serious consequences.
